As part of India’s Global Capability Centers (GCC) ecosystem, I had the opportunity to participate in different GCC conclaves and summits in 2025. I have also been following what is being written in the news and in analyst research.
A few themes show up repeatedly: cost centers to growth drivers, local delivery to global ownership, moving up the value chain, AI-driven GCCs. These are relevant topics, but they are also increasingly hyped—I often find them disconnected from the ground reality of running a large-scale GCC.
